Newar's Refsheet and fanpage

Newar is a loose name for the various facets of a many-named pleasure demon. Those facets usually incarnate as a fox with demonic features and unpredictable illusion-based magic. This demon is mostly intangible, being an entity outside reality (think warp demon / old ones). Its goals are hard to divine, but it seems to be profoundly curious about all sentient being, and willing to explore all the realities and universes it can reach. This being manifest more as a will and drive to spread pleasure and discover. It grants powers to those who seeks to attain theses goals and call to it.

This will is often at odd with other, more destructive wills. It is by no means a herald of good, but there's little hedonism to be had when a world is in shambles. It does not seek dominion, merely understanding and pleasure and will often actively fight for the preservation of life.

The will's incarnations are often called "Newar" and have a typical appearance and personality described below.

Newar is an androgynous (half) demon fox. His fur is white, with pink and purple highlights. His blood is purple-ish, thus so are his pawpads, nipples, genitals and insides. He has scars-like markings all over his body, testaments of his demonic nature. He sports a pair of medium, solid, dragon-like horns, spouting behind his ears and curving toward the back.

He very often has canine male genitals of average girth/width with a sheath and plump balls. His chest has some curves, but is usually on the flat side, making his overall look quite androgynous.

He is a magic user, wielding unpredictable magic. He specialize in illusion, flesh-manipulation and sneaky magic. His magic is powerful, deriving its power from the pleasure provided to others. It is quite unstable, though, and tends to backfire or have unpredictable results. Newar mostly use his magic to glamour his appearance, to hide his demonic features, blend in, look more beautiful or otherwise help smoothen out relationships with others.

He is curious and adventurous, often taking the like of a bard or ranger, even though his magic is more akin to that of a warlock. He is always moving about and experimenting. Being half-demon, he also usually have a longer-than-average lifespan which helps him out when he's discovering the world and traveling. He rarely settles for more than a few year, preferring a life of adventure, experimentation and discovery to something more comfortable.

He has a drive to help others, enjoy the pleasures and hardship of life, and learn. This aspiration, aided by his roaming tendencies, usually end up with him being intertwined in all matters of intrigues or adventures to save the world(s).

He's a jack-of-all trades, owning to a long life and otherworldly knowledge, but he's easily distracted, especially if he has been starved for magic for a while.

When Newar perishes, his life experiences and energy usually find their way back to the many-named demon, who feeds and learns from it. The demon usually grant no prior knowledge to each incarnation, preferring to have a "fresh take" on a given reality. Sometimes, though, if it judges it will help or is coaxed into it, it might grant a new incarnation knowledge from others, usually interpreted as "past lives experiences".
